Waterjet Cutting Titanium

Our waterjet cutting process produces clean, precise titanium parts without generating heat, reducing the amount of final machining required. Cutting titanium with a waterjet requires no tooling or special preparation.

DS&T can cut titanium up to 10 inches thick and as thin as 0.03 inches. Titanium also nests efficiently, helping reduce material waste and lower production costs. If your titanium fits under the waterjet, we can cut it!

Our upcoming video demonstrates the waterjet cutting process on an 18″ × 18″ × 5/8″ piece of titanium. Using a Flow Ultra High Pressure Waterjet system operating at 60,000 PSI, we cut the material at approximately 3 inches per minute. The finished part is used in an underwater research facility.
