Precise Water Jet Cutting Services

We provide precise water jet cutting services for any type of material: from foam to glass to the hardest metals, such as Inconel or Titanium.  

• No Heat
  Water-jets do not produce heat like other processes, so there are no metallurgical changes, warpage, or discoloration of your parts. Good edge quality – No heat affected zone, no slag or dross to grind off, minimal burring – waterjets eliminate costly secondary finishing.
   
• Thin, Thick & Heavy Materials
  Materials as thin as .010″ or as thick as 8″ are not a problem with water jets. We water-jet cut part sizes up to 10 feet wide and 30 feet long.
   
• Materials
  Any materials from the softest foam to the hardest metal or composite can be cut with waterjets. Some of the materials include glass, stone, steel, stainless steel, brass, graphite, titanium and inconel.  View Full LIst of Materials 
   
• Intricate Parts 
  The thin kerf and omni-directional cutting of the waterjet means very intricate parts with paper thin walls can be cut with no problem.
   
• Large Cutting Capacity 
  Our waterjet machine has a 6′ by 12′ cutting bed. Due to the loading capabilities of our machine, DS&T can handle material and parts up to 10′ by 30′. We can also handle thick materials, or difficult to cut, such as bullet proof glass.

Unlike standard machining techniques, rigid tooling is seldom required to support material or parts. However, if that is what it takes to cut a 3-D Titanium forging, Carbon Graphite parts or your challenging part, DS&T can, has and will develop effective tooling to successfully cut your part. Ideal for prototypes or large production runs – Whether your project involves one part or one thousand, waterjets can cut it precisely and economically.
